This brief article will describe (for those of you who do not know) everything you need to know if you desire to become a Contributing Member.
You can become a Contributing Member by giving a one-time donation of $20 or more to The Double Pawn. There is a donations block in the lower right corner of the home page of this site for this purpose.
Because of this, Contributing Members will gain some added benefits:
1. Max games is increased from 45 to a max of 100 games.
2. Your name is added to the Hall of Honor, which inscribes names of all Contributing Members.
3. A special rank is conferred to Contributing Members in the forums, along with a special image, which tells everyone you are proud to be a Contributing Member of this site.
This contributing membership donation, unlike other sites, is a one-time donation. You will not be asked to donate the same amount each year.
This means that once you have become a Contributing Member, you are a Contributing Member for life.
The only way you could lose that status is if you did something crazy, like create duplicate accounts, or something that is a banning offense. I know, however, that Contributing Members are trustworthy, and will never stoop to such a level.
