Read
all the links in this Help Section
and familiarize yourself with the rules and other info found here.
Go to Chess Settings and make sure your
playing environment is set to your liking. You can set your email notification
preference, set your board color, size and pieces and upload an image
for your homepage etc.
You can start games in several ways:
* Go to the Join Games link. From here
you can join a game created by other players or create a game for others
to join.
*
Go to the Challenges link. On this page you
can challenge specific players to a game. You can sort the players list by
Country, Rating, Name, or you can list only players currently online.
* Join or Create a Tournament. You can join
a tournament (each tournament you join will create 6 games for you to play) with
specific rating ranges, Thematics (an opening theme), rated or unrated, or you
can join a larger 16-player tournament when offered by the Webmaster.
Note: You must complete 10 games before you will be allowed to play in
tournaments.
* Join a Team. Team play is an excellent way to
play organized chess. You play not only for yourself, but also for your
team.
When you have created games you need to go to My Games to see a list of your games. Clicking on the Play button will
take you to that board where you can play your move.
